Description
The province of Malaga is extremely mountainous and Short Breaks in Andalusia offer a trip including 3 very different mountain experiences.
As one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, Ronda has always attracted visitors , perched on a canyon overlooking the river Tajo and the unique 3 bridges attraction – each built in a different period of Spanish history, one on top of each other. Both Ernest Hemingway and Orsen Welles wrote about the town’s beauty and its long bullfighting tradition.
El Torcal is probably the most impressive limestone Karst landscape in the whole of Europe. Stunning views are available on the walks from the top on a clear day.
The third destination is “The King’s path” – El Camino de Rey – an unbelievable experience nominated recently as one of the coolest things to do in the world by Lonely Planet, and definitely one of the wonders of modern Spain. It consists of an amazing walk along a mountain gorge and over spectacular bridges which for many years was only available to qualified mountaineers, but is now totally reformed and open to visitors of all ages for a unique walking experience.
