Grazalema and Arcos

The Sierra of Cadiz is full of spectacular scenery and attractive white villages – the typical Andalusian scene. Grazalema is perhaps the most beautiful of these towns with a wonderful position on the side of the mountains in the middle of the natural park which bears its name, and with panoramic views all around. Arcos de la Frontera is also positioned high in the Sierra on a balcony overlooking the Plains below.

Local produce is plentiful, fresh and very organic – specialities being Goats cheeses, vegetables such as asparagus and tomatoes, and lamb and pork of a very high quality. In general the gastronomy is excellent and very reasonably priced while the local wines are almost legendary! If you like relaxing mountain scenery and very good food and wine this short break is ideal for you.
