With a rich and varied wildlife there are lots of opportunities to spot eagles, hawks and owls as well as deer and the famous black Iberian pigs which provide the most sought after ham in Spain ( some experts consider this the best ham in the world ) with the village of Jabugo particularly famous. The town of Aracena is the hub of the area and a visit includes entrance to the beautiful grotto as well as the Castle which dominates the area.
